2007 District 11 Playoff Projections

4A:

Parkland is top seed if it beats Whitehall.

Whitehall qualifies if it wins, or 2 of the 4 directly below it lose.

Freedom qualifies if it beats Liberty, or if 2 of the 3 directly below it lose.

Easton qualifies if it beats Bethlehem Catholic, or if all 3 below it lose.

East Stroudsburg South qualifies if it beats East Stroudsburg North, and East and Emmaus lose.

Emmaus qualifies if it beats Allentown Central Catholic, and Easton and East Stroudsburg South lose.

Pocono Mountain West qualifies if it beats Pocono Mountain East, and the 3 teams directly above it lose.

There is a possibility, but not the probability, of a 4-way tie at 870 among Whitehall and Freedom (with losses) and Emmaus and East Stroudsburg South (with wins). In that scenario, East Stroudsburg South would have the best chance of making it to 880, Freedom the least.

The 3 teams that fall short will all qualify for the Eastern Conference playoffs.

3A:

Bethlehem Catholic and Northwestern Lehigh qualify with wins.

Lehighton probably qualifies by beating Jim Thorpe, in that case Blue Mountain would have a 25% chance if it beats Schuylkill Haven (assuming Bethlehem Catholic and Northwestern Lehigh win).

Blue Mountain qualifies if it wins, and 1 of the 3 directly above it loses.

Pottsville qualifies if it beats Conrad Weiser, and 2 of the 4 directly above it lose.

Southern Lehigh has a fair chance if it beats Salisbury and the 3 directly above it all lose,

At least one of these (probably 2) will make the Eastern Conference.

2A:

Saucon Valley and Schuylkill Haven qualify with wins over Palisades and Blue Mountain.

If either loses, Springfield (Montco) would pass them with a win over winless North Schuylkill, and would likely pass Haven even with a loss.

Catasauqua qualifies if it beats Northwestern Lehigh and 2 of the 3 directly above it lose.

Pen Argyl and Salisbury have a chance if it either wins, and 3 of the other 4 lose.

The Top-Ranked Colonial team that misses out will make the Eastern Conference, as would Haven if it loses.

A:

Mahanoy Area likely qualifies if it beats Shenandoah Valley.

Tri-Valley needs not only a win over Pine Grove and a loss by Mahanoy Area, but a loss by Jenkintown to winless Carson Long.

District 11 is unlikely to have an entry is the Eastern Conference.
